Mark Twain once quipped, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

The Cache Bulldogs certainly passed the "eye test" in warm-ups, boasting a clear size advantage over the smaller visitors. These Chargers weren't about to tuck their tails and cower back to the city.

Heritage Hall unleashed the game's first 33 points before Cache answered with two special teams touchdowns – a 90-yard kickoff return and a 65-yard punt return – in the second half. Blake Adams and Santana Randle scorched the Bulldog secondary on 4 touchdown passes. Adams was 18 of 26 for 282 yards and also found Zane Wade on a 20-yard scoring connection. Randle hauled in 13 passes and amassed 228 yards on the night. Bryce Soberanis churned the turf for 76 yards on the ground.

The Charger defense kept the Bulldog offense on a short leash, fueled by Jack Ross's 18 tackles and 2 sacks. The ball-hawking defense also notched 4 takeaways on the night with interceptions from Blake Adams, Garrett McGinnis, and Michael McLaughlin – plus a 4th quarter forced-fumble by Trey Marion that was scooped up by Blake Adams to ice the game. Brady Ballard helped cage the Bulldogs run game with 12 tackles in run support out of the secondary.

Never understimate the heart of a Champion. On this night, it was the Chargers who showed more bite than bark, locking down another District Championship and riding a 36-game program win streak back to the Metro.
