Most Recent Matchup:
The Chargers battled the Chickasha Fighting Chicks in week six of the 2016 season, and controlled the game the very first snap. Heritage came out of the gates with guns blazing. Blake Adams guided the team to a quick 14-0 lead, throwing for the first touchdown and scampering from two yards out on the second. The Chargers kept their foot on the gas pedal for the rest of the first fifteen, taking a commanding 28-0 lead into the second when Adams connected with Chandler Shapard for a 62 yard touchdown. Heritage then put on a barrage of huge plays throughout the second quarter, including 60 and 40 yard touchdown catches from Billy Ross, Jr., and a 22 yard touchdown run from Morgan Dinwiddie. Jaden McDaniel totalled 11 tackles, while Grayson Wilson and Ross, Jr., each intercepted Chickasha passes. The game was over by halftime, as the Chargers' strong all-around effort resulted in a 56-0 lead at the break. The Fighting Chicks managed to outscore Heritage by almost three scores in the second half, but it wasn't near enough to overcome their deficit, and the Chargers won the game 56-20 in the end.

Player Spotlight:
Chickasha has struggled thus far in the 2017 season, dropping five games in a row to start. However, they still have a few players who can change a game. David Thibodeaux-Benoit has the ability to do it all on the field for the Fightin' Chicks. Chickasha's star has shined in all facets of the game so far, rushing for 357 yards and a touchdown on 5.3 yards per carry while posting three games of at least 100 yards on the ground. Thibodeaux-Benoit has also added 143 receiving yards on the season, including a 69 yard performance against El Reno three weeks ago. Not only does he make a difference offensively, but he also leads the team with 86 total tackles – an outstanding 17 per game – on the season. He will need to have a huge game on both sides of the ball if the Fightin' Chicks are going to come close to upsetting the Chargers this weekend.

Outlook:
Heritage Hall is still undefeated on the 2017 season (5-0) and will look to make it six in a row at Chickasha. The Weatherford Eagles gave the Chargers a scare, staying close throughout last week's Homecoming game, but the Hall prevailed 24-14. Senior running back Morgan Dinwiddie carried the rushing load after Ross, Jr., went down with an apparent injury in the first quarter. Dinwiddie rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries, while Conner Carey added 90 receiving yards and another score. The defense picked up the offense, only allowing the Eagle offense to land in the endzone once. Zane Wade and Carson Orton led the charge defensively, each picking up two sacks, while Garrett McGinnis and Connor Keith each added one more. Chandler Shapard continued to make his presence outside known, picking off yet another pass and making it four on the year. Blake Adams, who normally stars at quarterback, also had an interception while playing safety. Against Chickasha this weekend, the Chargers must get off to a hot start offensively and build an early lead, as David Thibodeaux-Benoit and the Fighting Chicks' grind-the-ground offense is not an easy one to complete a comeback with.
