It was eventful night for the Heritage Hall basketball program as multiple records were broken in great displays of the game at the McClendon Athletic Center.

In the Lady Chargers basketball game, sharpshooting junior Macy Moore knocked down six three pointers to clinch the career three-point record at Heritage Hall. This record was previously held by Morgan Meacham '16 who cashed in 162 three pointers during her four years at The Hall. Moore finished the night with 166 so far in her career.

The Lady Chargers got their 5th victory on the year as they beat the Saints 54-49 in a close one. Moore finished with 27 points on the night and improved her team-leading season scoring average to 16.9 points per game. Freshman Annie Walker also contributed 9 points and 8 boards to the victory as she improves her scoring average to 7.9 per game, second only to Moore. Walker continues to gain experience and make herself a valuable part of the Lady Chargers squad. The Saints made a late run in the contest, but missed a three pointer with little time left. The Lady Chargers snagged the rebound and dribbled out the clock to secure their 5th victory and improve to 5-12 on the year.

In the boys game, junior phenom Trey Alexander snatched the number one spot on Heritage Hall's all-time rebounds list with 544 boards and he's still got another season left. Alexander passed Tyler Ward '03, who previously held the record with 537 rebounds. Trey is just over 120 points away from breaking the long-standing career scoring record at Heritage Hall, held by Craig Brown '78.

The Charger boys got a 62-49 win over the OCS Saints, as Alexander again led the way with a near triple-double – 26 points, 18 rebounds, and 8 assists. The stellar game pushed his season averages to 29.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. Sebastian Perry turned in a great performance with 10 points and 6 rebounds, as he continues to impress in his Freshman season. A pair of veteran seniors, Jack Spanier and Kenneth Daughty, contributed 6 points each to the Chargers' total. Spanier has been a key guard on this team the past few seasons as he is averaging 9.6 points, while Daughty lends help with 5.0 points per contest. It sure wasn't easy for the Saints to focus as the student section or the "Jungle" was keeping it loud the whole night.

The next matchup for both squads is coming up on Thursday, January 30, against a tough homeschool foe, the OKC Storm. Several great showdowns are on the horizon as the squads prepare for the postseason. Onward, Chargers!
