Katie (Matlock '07) Brown started her volleyball career in 2000. She was a varsity setter at Heritage Hall for the 2003-2006 seasons. Brown captained the State Championship team in 2005 and 2006, winning All State and State Tournament MVP awards. Lettering in multiple sports for the Chargers, she continued her volleyball career to the University of Southern Mississippi. As a collegiate setter for the Golden Eagles in 2007 and 2008, she led her team in service aces in 2008. Afterwards, she followed her passion for athletics with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Coach Brown has been an assistant coach for the Chargers since 2019.
