Completing a season with 6-wins or above usually earns a team a playoff spot, while winning 8 to 9-games usually earns a team first in their district.

But winning 10-games, is something very special. Winning 10-games means you have finished the regular season unblemished.

While most teams only dream of an undefeated regular season, it has become expected for the Heritage Hall Chargers to achieve this honor. Friday night versus Elk City presented the Hall with another chance to complete a perfect regular season.

Contrary to popular belief, the Heritage Hall Chargers came into Friday's game fired up to play. Even though the Chargers were guaranteed first place in their district, they knew how important this game was to building playoff momentum.

The Hall started off strong as a quick opening drive lead to a Billy Ross, Jr., 9-yard touchdown dash.

Elk City responded with three-points, aided by several Heritage Hall penalties, but ultimately settling for a 23-yard field goal to cut the lead to 7-3.

The Chargers responded to the Elk City attack with vengeance on their mind, as they finished the quarter scoring three more touchdowns and one safety.

The second quarter scoring barrage began with a tight end screen to the big man, Carson Orton, who rumbled into the endzone from 27-yards out.

The defense continued to stifle the Elks, as nothing was working for their spread offense. Morgan Dinwiddie and Chandler Shapard finished the quarter with housecalls. At the half, it was all Chargers, 52-3.

The second half showcased the Charger reserves, and only two touchdowns between the foes were added to the scoreboard.

Preston Taylor took a fumble return 28 yards to the end zone, and Elk City returned a botched Charger punt 25-yards to close out the scoring.

Even with back-ups in the game for most of the second half, the Charger defense did not give up an offensive touchdown all night, which is something defensive coordinator Mark Adams is undoubtedly pleased about.

When all was said and done, Heritage Hall had earned themselves a third straight undefeated regular season with a 59-10 victory over Elk City. This year's Senior class enters the playoffs with an impressive 50-2 record, with losses to Davis in 2014 and Cascia Hall in last year's quarterfinals.

Blake Adams played well in his last regular season game as a Charger, completing 11 of 17 passes for 225 yards and four touchdowns. In limited time, Ross finished with 8 carries for 52-yards and one score.

Carson Orton was the MVP of the night, finishing with three catches for 61 yards and two  touchdowns. "The Athlete," as ChargerVision commentator Rick Hansing likes to call him, was a monster on both sides of the ball, recording 8 tackles and 2 sacks on defense. As if that wasn't enough, Orton caught a desperation 2-point conversion pass from Shapard, and rounded out his big night with a defensive safety.

Grayson Wilson disrupted the Elks' backfield the entire night, tallying a team-high 13 tackles.

Heritage Hall completed another storybook regular season with the stomping of Elk City. This feat is very impressive and should be celebrated by the team, but coaches, players and fans all know this is not the biggest goal.

The goal of the 2017 Heritage Hall Chargers is to hold up the gold ball at the end of the season...and that journey starts this Friday night against the Tuttle Tigers (6-4). Onward!
