The Crossings Knights couldn't keep up with the Lady Chargers Thursday night as Coach Dobbs' sluggers got out of the gates quickly to seize a massive lead, never looking back.

The Lady Chargers run-ruled the Knights 14-4 in 3 and a half innings of play. The Hall had an offensive outburst as the Lady Chargers had 14 runs on 7 hits compared to Crossings' 4 runs on 3 hits. The Lady Chargers also took advantage of the Knights' 5 errors. The Hall played a well rounded defensive game by only having 2 errors and pulled 2 double plays both started by Gabby Bowen.

It looked like Crossings was in for a big day at the plate after putting up 2 in the top half of the first, but The Hall had different plans as they put the game out of reach crossing the plate for 10 in the first. The Lady Chargers went through the entire batting lineup once in the first inning – and almost batted around 2 times in the frame. The Lady Chargers drew a lot of walks, leading to big hits and stolen bases for runs. Alina Wilson reached on an error by the Knights' pitcher to drive in Elly Bock to make the score 5-2. Gabby Bowen smashed an RBI triple later that inning driving in Kaylie Kerr to make the score 10-2.

The Lady Chargers tacked on one more in the bottom of the second on an Alina Wilson RBI single to drive in Taiya Parker home to extend their lead to 11-2 at the end of two. Crossings responded with two of their own in the top of the third, but it was too little too late for the Knights. The Lady Chargers added even more cusion to their lead crossing the plate for 3 more in the bottom half to make it 14-4. The Knights couldn't do anything in the top of the fourth ending the game due to a run rule.

Trudie Taylor took the circle and got the win for The Hall, pitching all 4 innings. Taylor gave up 4 runs on 3 hits and struck out 5 to cap off her night in the circle.

Gabby Bowen led the way for the Lady Chargers offensively going 2-3 with a single and a RBI triple. Alina Wilson added 2 singles and an RBI and Taiya Parker also collected a couple of hits and a RBI as well in the offensive outburst for the Chargers.

The Lady Chargers return to action Monday August 28th against the Mount St. Mary's Rockets, the Millwood Falcons August 29th, and the Wellston Tigers September 1st to cap off a 3-game home stretch. You can view the Mount St. Mary's game  online at hhchargers.tv.
