An outstanding wrestler for the Charger squads of the early 1980’s, Kurt won the 1984 State Championship in his weight class and was also named All-State that year. He ranks among the top 10 in virtually every wrestling category, but his 28-1 record in 1984 stands as one of the top 3 winning percentages in Charger history. He was a leader on the 1984 squad that placed 5th in the State Tournament, the 2nd highest team finish in Charger wrestling history.
