The 1988 Heritage Hall track team was loaded with talented athletes, and Mike Howell dominated the field events throughout his Charger career.  Through 2005, he still holds the school record in the shot put (58’3”) and discuss (173’3”). Mike was the State Champion in both events in the 1988 State Track Meet.  In college, Mike became an NCAA National Champion in the shot put.
